About The Artist
Sak Pase! My name is Lashanna 'L. Wil ' Wilson (also known as 'Lady Haiti') and I am a self taught visual artist that uses acrylic paint, ink pen and graphite in majority of my works. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, I found inspiration through being submerged and surrounded by many different artistic expressions such as graffiti art, music, and dance. This ignited the curiosity within me to express myself through drawing. While residing in Charlotte, NC since 2016, I have participated in many different local art shows, exhibits and festivals hosted by RAW Artists, DUPP&SWATT, The Annual Alkaline Festival, and The Mimosa Way. I am focused on creating art centered around political issues and expressing resistance towards racism, capitalism, fascism, genocide, and poverty. I also produce works under my creative brand 'Will Create for Food' to create awareness around people experiencing houselessness and using a portion of my art proceeds towards individuals experiencing hardships. I talk about all of these issues and how they relate to artists on my weekly radio show 'WCFF Radio' (Will Create For Food Radio) that airs every Monday @ 6:15pm on WDRBMedia.com
